Dialogue: s3e04-01

INTERIOR - SCREENING - NIGHT The scene has already been set by Tina earlier when she told Bette: "It's not a dinner, it's a screening of a documentary that Helena and I are interested in financing." Helena & Tina walk down the steps on their way out of a screening. Tina: That was amazing. Helena: That was really... intense... so upsetting. Tina leafs through the programme. Tina: What's the umm... buy in? Helena: We have to meet the filmmaker, is that her? Tina: She's beautiful, isn't she? Dylan, the film-maker, is talking to a man about her documentary. Dylan: ... it's all pretty self explanatory really. Thank you so much. Tina: Dylan, hi. Tina extends her hand, and Dylan shakes it. Tina: I'm Tina Kennard from Peabody-Shaolin. Dylan: Hi. Tina: That was a really powerful piece of film making. Dylan: Well, I heard you might be coming. I'm really, really glad that you made it. Tina: This is Helena Peabody. Helena extends her hand, and Dylan shakes it. Helena: Dylan, we don't normally do documentaries but... I'd really love to sit down and talk with you about this. Dylan: Well we're looking for 10 investors to come in at $10,000 a piece. Dylan looks down at Helena's hand, realising that it is still firmly attached to hers. Dylan: And if you, err.. Helena looks down as Dylan removes her hand from Helena's. Dylan: If you... read the prospectus. Helena: Well, I... I assume you'd accept it all from one single investor. Dylan's eyes light up in amazement. Dylan: Ha, are you kidding? Helena shakes her head, and gives Dylan the first of many big smiles. Tina: Call me and we will set up a meeting. Helena: Err, to... to discuss whether $100,000 is really enough or... maybe we should think about increasing your budget. Dylan: What are you, some kind of an angel or something? Helena laughs and blushes. Helena: No, I'm just... I'm really in awe of what you're trying to do here and I'm lucky enough to be in a position to help you. Dylan and Helena's eyes lock and sparks fly. Dylan: Could you just wait, wait here for a second. There's someone I really wanna introduce you to. Okay. Dylan walks away. Helena: Sure. Tina: Sure. Helena: Who, who is that? Do you, do you know? Tina: That is Danny Wilson, her producer. Helena nods. Tina: and I think... her boyfriend. Helena looks crestfallen, which amuses Tina who hasn't failed to notice by now that Helena is smitten. There is no doubt that the title of this episode 'Light My Fire', is all about the effect Dylan had on Helena at this first meeting and throughout the rest of season 3. Helena: Oh!
